Specialist doctors

We offer specialized consultation and rehabilitation services in physiatry and orthopedics.

WHAT IS A PHYSIATRIST?

Physiatrists are specialized medical doctors who evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients of all ages with problems primarily affecting the musculoskeletal and neurological systems, as well as the resulting disabilities.

Dr. Korkmaz, the physiatrist, primarily treats back and neck pain, muscle pain, tendinitis, bursitis, and other joint problems.

Medication and injections are part of their therapeutic arsenal, and they work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, massage therapists, social workers, and nursing staff in acute care hospitals.

Dr. Korkmaz, affiliated with the Centre hospitalier Saint-Eustache, will be able to respond to consultation requests from referring physicians. Among other services, he offers fluoroscopy-guided injections to patients who do not respond optimally to traditional rehabilitation.

For a follow-up in physiatry, the Physiothérapie et Médecine sportive Boisbriand clinic invites you to send your requests to medsport@physioboisbriand.com or fax them to 450-430-2052.

WHAT IS AN ORTHOPEDIST?

An orthopedist (or orthopedic surgeon) is a specialized medical doctor who provides medical and surgical care for conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, and nerves).

Depending on the specific condition being addressed, an orthopedist performs various surgical interventions such as repairs, reconstruction, correction, or joint replacement.

Dr. Eric Schlader, an orthopedic surgeon affiliated with Hôpital Saint-Eustache, specializes in arthroscopic surgery and shoulder and knee reconstruction.

For follow-up in surgery, the Physiothérapie et Médecine sportive Boisbriand clinic invites you to send your requests to medsport@physioboisbriand.com or fax them to 450-430-2052.
