Lucas, a graduate in occupational therapy from the University of Montreal in December 2021, is the newest addition to the occupational therapy team at Physiothérapie Boisbriand clinic. Following a sports injury in his youth, he had his first contact with the rehabilitation environment, which encompassed several of his interests: teamwork, helping relationships, and human anatomy. As a result, Lucas is increasingly interested in the interaction between physical condition and the emotional state of his patients and the impact of this interaction on their rehabilitation. With his empathetic nature, Lucas attentively listens to all aspects of his patients’ lives in order to provide personalized treatments.
Lucas also completed a year in the Bachelor’s program in kinesiology, which provided him with a better understanding and analysis of movement and overall physical conditioning. This enables him to help his patients progress towards a more functional and comprehensive physical recovery, with the aim of returning to meaningful sports or leisure activities.
Being a clinic specializing in hand rehabilitation, Physiothérapie Boisbriand has sparked Lucas’s growing interest in the assessment and treatment of upper limb pathologies. Working with highly competent colleagues in hand therapy provides him with valuable tools to enhance his practice in this field.
